Welcome to Plant A Row El Dorado County. Plant A Row (PAR) is an international organization sponsored by the Garden Writers Association. PAR encourages local gardeners to plant a little extra, and to share their garden bounty with food banks and other organizations helping the hungry. Want to help?

You can help by doing what it is you love to do - grow vegetables! Plant an extra row, then donate your surplus to a food bank or soup kitchen. Information about donation sites in El Dorado County can be found below.

The Food Bank is the local food clearinghouse; they distribute food to many agencies and hunger projects throughout the county. Contact them for info on all their community partners. They are open 8:00- 4:00, Monday thru Friday.
